Our dedicated team of wooden window experts provide services such as sash window repair in Buckinghamshire and as sash window draught-proofing and double glazing retrofit.
We combine new developments in glass technology, timber and sealant materials together with a passion for timber window refurbishment.
Our pioneering approach in sash window restoration enables us to provide 8 years guarantee on paintwork, which means no repairing or re-painting during 8 years after we refurbish your sash windows.
Our team renovated this property a few years ago. The window sills were rotten and the paintwork was weathered. As the result of our work, both issues were fixed and two fresh coats of paint were applied using a paint sprayer.
This sash window restoration project in a small village near Cambridge saw the team carrying out the retrofit installation of new double glazing into existing frames as well as draught-proofing and redecoration of all windows.

Alex and the team have restored our 20 year old sash windows so they look brand new. The team worked non-stop to complete it and made sure everything was to an excellent standard. Thank you.
Rob
We’re very happy with the work we recently had completed on the windows. It was also done in great time, with the guys coming nearly every day, including weekends – absolute grafters. Thank you, our windows look great!
Sarah Mayne
We had an excellent experience with Chameleon Decorators. The work was completed on time and to a very high standard throughout, all at a fair price. Would have no hesitation in providing a recommendation. Please note that the team work on the exterior only so you will need to factor in an internal job also!

Excellent communication, service and professionalism. We spoke with Chameleon to restore some rotting wood french doors and wooden windows, as well as redecorate. We’d use them again without hesitation and would thoroughly recommend them.

Alex and his team are superb. We have used them before, and always been impressed – as we were this time – by their work ethic, their expertise and knowledge, the quality of their work, and their efficiency. I recommend them very highly indeed.

Frequently asked questions
What kind of timber do you use?
We use Accoya and Tricoya wood in our projects. We use this timber in lamination and replacement tasks.
Do you work with windows in Grade 2 listed buildings?
Yes. We work with Grade 2 listed buildings on regular basis as well as with buildings in a conservation area. We do like-for-like repairs, this type of repair does not require planning permission because it does not change the style of the window or alter it in any way.
Can you unblock stuck windows?
If your sash windows are painted shut or stuck, we can restore their functionality by changing sash cords, pulleys and adding new weight.
What is the lead time to get 15 windows refurbished?
To refurbish 15 sash windows we will need from 5 to 7 days, this includes timber frames repair and re-decoration.
