A very thorough renovation of wooden windows in Cambridge
This substantial family home in Hills Road, Cambridge was in need of window renovation due to its peeling paint and rotting timbers. The owners wanted the job to be done quickly and without fuss and for the the final result to be a stunning makeover of a beautiful home.
We began by sanding back the windows to bare wood to reveal that some parts were rotten and other required treatment with a wood hardener. We removed the rotted sections as part of the window repairs and filled them with resinous wood fillers and Accoya and Tricoya veneers. We then carefully protected all of the surrounding areas with masking paper to ensure no run-off before spray painting the windows using our bespoke system. The wood was left looking like new and is fully protected for many years to come.
We completed this job is just 2 full days, making it a perfect example of how spray painting can transform a home, leaving it looking like it has new windows – all without needing to resort to PVC units.
