Spray painting timber clad property in Barley, Royston
This partially timber clad home in Barley between Royston and Cambridge is the perfect example of why looking after timber is so important. Not only did this home have wooden cladding, but it also had timber framed windows that needed attention.
We began by sanding back all of the timber on the house until it was bare wood. This allowed the clients to see the extent of window repairs needed. Using Accoya and Tricoya fillers and resinous fillers, we repaired all rotten sections and made sure the timbers were all smooth ready for painting. The cladding required special treatment, with all metal nailheads treated with a specialist metal primer, so they would not stain the new paintwork. Finally the surrounding areas were protected with films and masking paper before we used our specialist spray painting technique to achieve a mirror-like finish on all timbers.
This home now has cladding and windows that have been protected for years to come and all was achieved in just 4 days. The clients were impressed by the speed and skill of our professional team who ensured that mess was kept to a minimum.
