Guarantees

Summary of cover

8 Years of paintwork guarantee on windows painted white and 5 years on windows painted in colour

One of the key offerings that set us apart from the competition is our 8-year and 5-year guarantee on paintwork. Our work strives to achieve a longer maintenance cycle for all the period windows we refurbish.

15 years on Vacuum insulated glazing VIG

The Vacuum insulated glazing VIG we use in double-glazing retrofitting projects is covered by a manufacturer guarantee for 15 years.

If vacuum-sealed glazing units fail, the replacement glass will be produced free of charge.

We also offer 12 months of free installation in case of failed glazing units.

20 years guarantee on all timber frame repairs

We only use Tricoya and Accoya timber when refurbishing original window frames.

The outstanding rot resistance of this timber, which is covered by the manufacturer’s guarantee, allows us to offer an exceptional guarantee on all parts of the window that our team replaces and laminates.

The list of exclusions we do not cover includes the following:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Accident, misuse or neglect
  • Using incorrect cleaning products such as bleach and solvents or using high-pressure or steam cleaners
  • The failure of foundations/structures caused by subsidence and soil shrinkage.
  • Small imperfections that are not visible when viewed from a distance of two metres.
  • Windows’s movements might be stiffer after the installation of draught-proofing.

Glazing:

  • Small imperfections that are not visible when viewed from the inside of the room 2 metres away, in natural daylight and looking directly through the glass (90°), not at it.
  • Small imperfections that are not visible when viewed from the inside of the room 3 metres away in natural daylight and looking directly through the glass (90°), not at it, for Laminated glass / Low-e coating: Not visible when viewed from 3 metres away for toughened or laminated glass. There should be no visible moisture on the surface of the glass.
  • Imperfections in the 50mm wide band around the edge of the glass – this area is not considered part of the normal viewing area.
  • Condensation forms on the outside of the pane.
  • Fine scratches not more than 25 mm long.
  • In some lighting conditions, the coating may look like a transparent film or produce a haze, i.e. a cloudy look to the surface.
  • Toughened glass may show visual distortions accentuated by reflections in sealed units. This is a natural phenomenon and not a fault.
  • Products displaying visual distortion caused by the vacuum.
